Massachusetts Man Wants to Turn Local Businesses on to Bitcoin
(Wicked Local) James D’Angelo calls himself an evangelist, but instead of proselytizing for Jesus, he only wants to know if you have a second to talk about Bitcoin.
If that word rings a bell, it’s because Bitcoin has been all over the news recently as countries and central banks are grappling with exactly how to deal with it.
The most basic definition of Bitcoin is that it’s a currency, but that doesn’t do it justice. What sets Bitcoin apart from traditional currency like American dollars or the Euro is that Bitcoin has absolutely no central authority, is entirely online, and is self-regulated. And, if D’Angelo is successful, it will soon be accepted in Brookline.
